Innovative Filtering to Increase ROI

Selfies, foodscapes, basic scenery photos, milestone pictures of your kids…we all admit to oversharing what we are up to in an almost braggadocios manner. “A glimpse in the perfect life of”, if you will, to keep family and friends up to date. I say “perfect” because oftentimes, the photos we post are not fully what the reality is; the things we do to make it look perfect. I am the first to admit to sharing monthly photos of my 7-month old along with a caption of her latest achievements, most adorable quirks, and her favorite foods. What’s not shown is that it took me 43 photos, 2 rattles, obnoxiously, high-pitched mom noises and 15 choices of filters to capture the perfect picture of my child. But all the viewers see is a sweet little infant, happy as a clam, on her blanket in the cutest outfit she owns. It’s the unspoken nature of the social media beast. Yet we all do it. We are all guilty of doing what it takes for as long as it takes to capture and post that flawless photo.

Should we feel shameful for hopping on the photo-editing train? I don’t. What’s the point in using image filters? Mass appeal. What is the real purpose of a filter? A filter’s intended use is to enhance the organic elements in an image, photo or video. More commonly understood, applying a filter on Snapchat or Instagram gives you the flawless and most appealing look you desire for your photo. We carefully select the filter that we think will enhance the best features of the photo or will charm our target audience, aka our followers. “Anything for a ‘like’”, as the kids say these days.

Let’s spin this notion in a different direction. We have filters for our social media apps, but what if we had filters for more mundane things in our occupational lives? Like, for training and eLearning solutions? A customized filter that would give your learning & development courses the perfectly polished look, effectively engage the intended user and appeal precisely to your target audience. A uniquely engineered application that takes care of the heavy lifting behind the scenes and enhances the instructional purpose of a curriculum regardless of whether the user speaks Mandarin or Malay. An auto-filter, if you will. I bet your next question is “does a filter really have that much influence?” followed by “will the application of it really make a difference in my training course?” I’ll raise you two yeses and cite the following study done by Yahoo labs: “21% of filtered photos are more likely to be viewed and 45% more likely to be commented on”. If those are the statistics on Instagram and Flickr, arguably two of the most utilized photo-sharing apps around the globe, imagine the measurable power a filter would have on your eLearning program. A 20-45% increase on your ROI? Jackpot.

Does such a thing truly exist? Global eLearning made it exist. Unlike Instagram, Snapchat or Flickr though, where you have an array of filters to choose from, there is just one filter to choose from in the eLearning world. We are the only localization service provider that has developed the authentic technology behind enhancing the organic elements in training, instructional and learning courses for our clients that allow them to speak any language, appeal to their target audiences, and generate tangible ROI. Let us do the rattle-shaking behind the scenes so you can share the perfect training & eLearning program.
